The Opportunity
We are partnering with a prominent Further Education college in Bromley to recruit a compassionate, proactive Learning Support Assistant & First Aider. This pivotal role allows you to make a meaningful daily impact, helping young people and adult learners with special educational needs (SEN) overcome barriers to learning, achieve their EHCP targets, and build independent futures.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide tailored educational, personal development, and accessibility support to learners with SEN across diverse curriculum areas.
- Act as an active, designated College First Aider, responding swiftly to campus medical needs and ensuring learner safety.
- Support learners with personal care, mobility needs, and physical well-being with dignity and respect.
- Assist in delivering outcomes outlined in individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and person-centred support plans.
- Help students develop self-advocacy, study skills, and confidence to access all college services and activities.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, support coordinators, and external key workers to update support plans and report progression.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualifications: Essential First Aid certification (or immediate willingness to gain certification), alongside Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Characteristics: Empathetic, flexible, and enthusiastic, with an understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to supporting learners with personal care and mobility needs.
- Transport & Commute: Ability to commute reliably to Bromley for a term-time schedule.
