Core Responsibilities
- Deliver high-standard, person-centred care to young people navigating early trauma and emotional behavioural difficulties (EBD).
- Create safe, structured, and nurturing environments that foster independence, personal confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
- Accompany young individuals to educational, social, and community-focused engagements.
- Maintain exemplary standards of professional boundaries, regulatory compliance, and National Care Standards.
- Partner collaboratively with multidisciplinary residential teams to maintain seamless, round-the-clock continuity of care.
Requirements & Experience
- Direct experience supporting children or young people within a residential care, social work, or therapeutic background.
- PVG Scheme membership (or full eligibility and willingness to register).
- SVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Residential Care (or SCQF equivalent) is strongly preferred, though candidates actively working towards this qualification will be considered.
- Valid UK Driving Licence (highly desirable).
- Exceptional communication skills combined with a proactive, calm, and empathetic approach.
Transferable Skills & Alternative Job Titles
This position may also suit individuals with professional experience as a Youth Worker, Support Practitioner, Community Care Officer, Young Persons Project Worker, or Family Support Worker.
