Core Responsibilities
- Complex Casework: Hold and manage a dedicated caseload of more complex child protection and safeguarding cases.
- Reflective Supervision: Provide reflective practice supervision and facilitate group supervision sessions to highlight good practice and learning opportunities.
- Practice Leadership & Mentoring: Model exemplary practice, offer teaching/learning support, and guide newer members of staff and newly qualified social workers.
- Service Improvement & Data: Work alongside your Team Manager to drive the local improvement plan, support planning during family visits/meetings, and contribute to data accuracy.
- Leadership Support: Deputise for the Team Manager when unavailable and provide designated operational support across the team as identified.
Candidate Requirements
- Professional Registration: Active registration as a Social Worker with Social Work England.
- Substantive Experience: Demonstrable post-qualifying experience in statutory Children's Safeguarding (Child Protection / Children in Need / Court proceedings).
- Leadership Potential: Proven ability to manage complex risk, facilitate reflective discussion, and mentor colleagues effectively.
