Are you a highly experienced practitioner ready to take the next step in your career? We are urgently seeking a dedicated Senior Social Worker to join the fast-paced and dynamic Adult Early Support Team in Manchester.
This is a pivotal role at the "front door" of adult social care. As a senior practitioner, you will not only provide rapid, preventative interventions to maximize independence but also act as a guiding figure within the team, supporting junior colleagues and leading on complex cases.
The Role
- Leading on complex, strength-based assessments and rapid interventions to prevent crisis and delay the need for long-term care.
- Acting as a point of escalation for complex safeguarding enquiries and multi-agency disputes.
- Mentoring, guiding, and supporting junior social workers, newly qualified staff (ASYE), and social care assessors.
- Championing best practices in the application of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005 across the early support service.
Requirements
- Qualifications: A recognized Social Work qualification and active Social Work England (SWE) registration.
- Experience: Substantial post-qualifying experience in Adult Social Care, particularly within front-door, triage, or early intervention settings.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage high-level risks, with a proven track record of supporting or mentoring peers.
- Mobility: A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for community assessments around Manchester.
