About the Role
Are you a skilled Justice Social Worker looking for a focused, fast-paced contract?
Randstad Care is partnering with Dundee City Council to recruit an experienced Social Worker for their Justice Team. This is a dedicated 3-month position specifically embedded within the Report Writing sub-team, alongside a focused supervision caseload.

Key Responsibilities
- Criminal Justice Reports: Produce high-quality, analytical Criminal Justice Social Work Reports (CJSWRs) for both standard offenses and domestic abuse cases, ensuring strict court deadlines are met.
- Risk Assessments: Utilise recognised risk assessment tools (such as LSCMI) to inform sentencing recommendations.
- Focused Supervision: Manage a small, targeted caseload supervising individuals on short-term, high-tariff structured deferred sentences.
- Collaborative Working: Partner closely with the courts, legal professionals, and community agencies to ensure robust risk management and support.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Social Worker: Degree in Social Work (DipSW, BA, or equivalent).
- Professional Registration: Active registration with the SSSC (or eligible to register immediately).
- Justice Experience: Proven track record of writing CJSWRs (experience with domestic abuse reporting is highly advantageous).
- Risk Assessment Skills: Proficiency in LSCMI or similar justice framework tools.
- Autonomy: Strong time-management skills to balance report deadlines with supervision requirements.
