Trafford Council is currently recruiting 7 full-time Social Workers to join their dedicated Support & Protection Service across locality bases in Altrincham, Stretford, and Sale. Available on either a permanent basis or a 12-month fixed-term contract, these roles offer a attractive salary scale of £37,280 - £42,839 per annum alongside a focus on sustainable, long-term work with families and young people.
About the Role & Service Area:
The Support and Protection service works with children when their needs have escalated to Child Protection or when Care Proceedings have been initiated. You will work in partnership with families and multi-agency partners to protect children, delivering sustainable interventions that enable children to live safely with their families wherever possible.

What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience within statutory Children's Social Care (Child Protection / Care Proceedings).
- Transport: Must be a car driver with access to a vehicle.
- Checks & Sponsorship: An enhanced DBS check with children's barred list will be processed. (Note: Trafford Council is not a licensed sponsor).
