Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Vocational/GCSE Hospitality & Catering across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (e.g., WJEC/Eduqas syllabus).
- Plan and deliver high-quality practical cooking lessons and theoretical industry modules.
- Prepare and assess Non-Examined Assessment (NEA) coursework and practical exams.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, food hygiene, and kitchen sanitation guidelines.
- Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (or relevant FE / vocational teaching qualification).
- Experience: Proven track record teaching Food Technology, Home Economics, or Vocational Hospitality & Catering in a secondary school environment.
- Certifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Food Safety in Catering certificate (or willingness to update/obtain).
- DBS: An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to undergo one).
