Role Overview
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-time & Part-time available)
- Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
- Start Date: September 2026
- Pay: £80 - £95 per day (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).
- Assist learners with autism (ASD), ADHD, moderate learning difficulties (MLD), or social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials.
- Build trust, encourage independence, and foster a safe, positive environment.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience supporting SEN students in a school, care, or youth work setting (preferred).
- Strong communication, patience, and adaptability.
- A proactive, resilient attitude with a passion for inclusive education.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
