WAKING NIGHT SUPPORT WORKER | ALYTH

- Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 21:45 - 07:30
- Location: Burnside Court, Alyth (Commutable distance required)
- Contract: Temporary / Ongoing (Temp-to-Perm potential)
THE OPPORTUNITY
Burnside Court is a specialized, 5-bed supported living service supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and ADHD. We are seeking a dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to provide high-quality overnight care, establish team stability, and maintain a safe environment.
This position offers guaranteed weekday hours, a 4-day workweek, and an immediate start, with a clear path to permanent employment for the right candidate.
KEY DUTIES
- Overnight Safeguarding: Monitor the service to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all 5 residents throughout the night.
- Responsive Care: Assist residents with personal care, reassurance, or routine support if they wake.
- Facility Maintenance: Complete designated domestic tasks, light cleaning, and administrative logs during quiet hours.
- Team Collaboration: Work in tandem with an on-site sleepover staff member who provides backup support as needed.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: Essential background in social care/support work. Direct experience with autism, ADHD, or learning disabilities is highly preferred.
- Shift Capability: Demonstrated ability to remain vigilant, attentive, and autonomous during waking night shifts.
- Reliability: Strong track record of attendance and the ability to commit to a fixed Monday-Thursday rota.
- Transport: Reliable means of travel to Alyth.
- Certifications: First Aid certification is advantageous.
