Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 TA to work exclusively alongside a designated child who requires focused support throughout the school day. Your primary aim will be to tailor learning materials to their speed, manage conditions like Autism (ASD), ADHD, or Speech Delays, and safeguard their well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering targeted, 1:1 academic tasks adapted specifically to the child's learning pace.
De-escalating frustrations and implementing positive behavioural support techniques.
Helping the child navigate busy transition times, assemblies, and playground social tasks.
Collaborating closely with the class teacher and the school SENCO to monitor EHCP targets.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Prior experience working 1:1 with children displaying complex needs or challenging behaviours.
Backgrounds in education support, youth mentoring, or residential care are highly transferable.
Exceptional emotional intelligence, resilience, and a naturally patient core.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
