ResponsibilitiesAs a Social Worker in our teams, you will play a vital role in safeguarding children and supporting families. Your core responsibilities include:
- Support & Protection: Engage in complex, long-term work with families and young people where cases have escalated to Child Protection or care proceedings. You will partner with multi-agency teams to ensure children can live safely at home whenever possible.
- Families First: Manage assessment and duty work, providing essential support to families throughout the Child in Need process across our North, West, South, and Central localities.
- Case Management: Maintain manageable caseloads, with an aim to limit totals to 20 children to ensure high-quality, focused intervention.
- Collaboration: Build robust partnerships with families and external agencies to deliver sustainable, life-changing outcomes.
- Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Must be a car driver with access to a vehicle.
- An enhanced DBS check with children's barred list will be processed for the successful candidate.
- Please note: Trafford Council is not a licensed sponsor for work visas.
- Competitive Salary: Band 7 (level 2) or Band 8 (level 3).
- Market Supplement: An additional £2,400 per annum for Band 8 (level 3) social workers.
