The Opportunity
Are you passionate about empowering young people and helping them build brighter futures? We are looking for dedicated, resilient, and caring Support Workers to join a specialized team within a Children's Secure Care Service.
In this role, no two days are the same. You'll serve as a stable, positive role model-helping vulnerable young people navigate daily life, build resilience, and reach their full potential in a safe, structured environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Guide & Support: Provide compassionate emotional and practical guidance to help young people develop essential life skills.
- Engage: Support young people with daily routines, educational goals, hobbies, and social activities.
- Protect: Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, child protection, and wellbeing in a secure care setting.
- Collaborate: Work closely with a supportive care team, keeping accurate daily logs and participating in clear shift handovers.
Pay & Working Hours
Contract Options: Full-Time or Ad-Hoc
Full-Time Rotas & Shift Patterns:
- Days: 07:30 - 22:30 (FT -1 day on, 2 days off pattern)
- Twilights: 22:00 - 03:00 (FT - 5 nights on, 5 nights off pattern)
- Nights: 22:00 - 08:00 (FT - 5 nights on, 5 nights off pattern)
Pay Rates (PAYE, holiday pay included):
- Day Shifts: £15.78/hr (Weekdays) | £16.63/hr (Weekends)
- Increases to a flat rate of £18.19/hr after 12 weeks!
- Night Shifts: £21.75/hr
What We're Looking For
- Proven Experience: Prior experience working with vulnerable young people in a residential or secure care setting is essential.
- Key Traits: Empathy, patience, strong communication, and a calm approach under pressure.
