Your Role and Responsibilities
In this senior position, you will be the cornerstone of a "whole approach" care model, guiding young people through pivotal stages of their lives. You will balance the administrative essentials of high-quality care with the daily interactions that build lasting trust.
Foster a warm, homely atmosphere within the residence through shared activities and light housekeeping.
Lead daily routines, from educational preparation to meal times and creative projects.
Build deep, meaningful relationships that provide emotional stability for those in your care
Maintain meticulous records to ensure every young person receives the best possible support.
Act as a safe space for expression, helping young people manage both their breakthroughs and their challenges.
What We Need From You
Our client values character and passion as much as prior experience. They are looking for an encourager who is focused on achieving positive outcomes for others.
Experience: Backgrounds in healthcare, social care, SEN, or community services are highly valued, though full training is provided for the right candidate.
Licence: A full manual UK driving licence is an essential requirement for this role.
Compliance: Successful candidates must pass an enhanced PVG check and provide a comprehensive two-year reference history.
Availability: Ability to commit to a 37.5-hour weekly schedule including the required sleep-in shifts.
Attributes: You must be patient, a great listener, and dedicated to the safeguarding and welfare of children.
