Transform Young Lives With Randstad
Every child deserves a advocate who sees their full potential. At Randstad, we are seeking experienced Children's Support Workers across South Wales to provide high-quality, outcome-focused support for vulnerable young people.
Rather than filling ad-hoc shifts, we specialise in Tailored Localised Care (TLC) packages. We carefully pair your unique skills, lived experience, and strengths with young people requiring consistent 1:1 residential and community support.
Core Responsibilities
- Delivering high-impact, trauma-informed care in residential children's homes and specialised community packages.
- Guiding young people through daily life skills, educational activities, and local social pursuits (e.g., swimming, sports, and outdoor trips).
- Assisting with multi-agency contact visits, family supervisions, and parent-and-baby support programmes.
- Supporting children navigating complex social-emotional needs, ADHD/Autism diagnoses, CAMHS interventions, or adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
- Maintaining firm, compassionate boundaries while acting as a positive, resilient role model.
What You Bring
- Demonstrable experience in children's residential social care, youth work, or specialised support services.
- Practical understanding of trauma-informed principles and emotional de-escalation strategies.
- Experience supporting young individuals presenting with complex behaviours or neurodivergent profiles (e.g., Autism, ADHD, trauma).
- Unwavering empathy, resilience, and commitment to safeguarding standards.
What Randstad Offers
- Top Market Rates: £16.00 to £20.00 per hour, paid weekly via 100% PAYE.
- Flexible Pay Control: Choose between a higher hourly rate or an accrued holiday pay pot you draw on demand.
- Work Your Way: Total flexibility across shift patterns (1 to 5 shifts per week).
- Funded CPD: Free access to accredited Team Teach training and Level 3 NVQ qualifications.
- Referral Bonuses: Receive £300 for every qualified friend or colleague you refer.
