About the Role
We are seeking a proactive, analytical, and resilient Social Worker to join a fast-paced Safeguarding Hub in Manchester. Acting as the crucial first point of contact for safeguarding concerns, you will work in a dynamic multi-agency environment.
This role is focused on the "front door" of social care, where quick thinking and sharp assessment skills are essential to ensure that vulnerable individuals receive the right level of protection and intervention at the earliest possible opportunity.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
- Triage and Assessment: Accurately screen and evaluate incoming safeguarding referrals, assessing immediate risks and determining appropriate thresholds for statutory intervention.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work seamlessly alongside police, health professionals, education providers, and other key partner agencies to gather, share, and analyze vital information.
- Rapid Decision Making: Formulate robust, timely, and legally sound recommendations to safeguard vulnerable individuals, ensuring all actions align with statutory guidelines.
- Professional Qualification: Must hold a recognized degree or diploma in Social Work.
- Registration: Active and restriction-free registration with Social Work England.
- Relevant Experience: Proven post-qualifying experience in a Safeguarding Hub, MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub), Duty and Assessment, or similar initial response team.
- Resilience: The ability to thrive in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment while maintaining meticulous and accurate case records.
